Ice 1 - Writing Articles

Ice 1 students have finished writing their first articles in english!

WRITING BIOGRAPHIES - 6th form

6th form students studied how to write a biography by following the bio model they had seen with their Language teacher.
They looked for a biography of a celebrity on the internet, then they were ready to write one on their own.
They were asked to choose a member of their families, and after gathering some info an facts about him/her, the students wrote a biography of that person in a Word file.
They showed how much they know about their own family history, GREAT JOB!

ICE 1 - Writing Project (2nd Part)

This is part of a special project of "Prácticas del Lenguaje" (Spanish) and Computing (English) to prepare students and help them explore different styles of Writing.
Now, it's time to learn how to write articles (newspapers, magazines, etc)
We'll keep you updated with the news about this interesting assignment.

Preparing ourselves for our Annual Concert!

4th, 5th and 6th form students have started researching about "Alice in Wonderland" which, by the way, is the chosen story for our Annual Concert. They searched on the internet, and completed a full guide about Charles Lutwidge Dodgson a.k.a. "Lewis Carroll" (author) and the different adaptations of "Alice" throughout the years.

A great idea for a great story!! GOOD LUCK to all the actors and actresses performing this year.

CIRCLE PLOT DIAGRAM - 6th form

Students of 6th form have started writing a story, as a previous step, they created a circle plot diagram to brainstorm ideas and use it as a draft copy.

Glossary: New Vocabulary

5th form students are learning new words! They looked for the definition of the following words and expressions:

• Attachment
• Communication
• Interaction
• Publication
• Surf the net
• Download files
• Chat
• Bookmark sites

Then, the students typed the definitions and saved them in a WORD file.

KET PRACTICE

6th form students have started practising for the K.E.T. Cambridge International Exam.
They visited two sites where they practised and got their scores on-line.

THE FLAG'S DAY - Celebrating Belgrano's Life

4th form students prepared a special poster dealing with Belgrano's life and some interesting ideas about his life and achievements. They looked for information during the computing lesson, then they analised it in Spanish and English too!

ICE 1 - Styles of Writing

Ice 1 students have started exploring different styles of writing. They looked for information about the difference between formal and informal styles. They wrote friendly letters, language exchange letters or e-mails and pen-friends letters.
The students visited some sites to find samples and follow the formats in order to write the letters described before.
